Venue:

The Championships will be held in Opatija, situated at Adriatic Sea coast, 12 km west of Rijeka and 170 km west of Zagreb, capital town Republic of Croatia.

Opatija, often called the Pearl of the Adriatic, is one of the most popular tourist resorts in Croatia and has the longest tourist tradition on the Adriatic Sea. As early as 1883, Opatija was known as a favorite destination for high society and famous artists from all over the world who came to Opatija to find new energy in this unique landscape.

Transportation to the venue:

Transportation by own bus/car

• Opatija is situated next to port city of Rijeka. Rijeka is connected to the north-east by highway A6 Zagreb-Rijeka. On the north of Rijeka there is a highway to border crossings Rupa (to mainland Slovenia) and Pasjak (with Slovenia, in direction of Italy). To the west Rijeka has a fast motorway through Istra to Italy.
• From Rijeka to Opatija there are traffic signs.
• Hotel Opatija (main accommodation and Championship office) is situated in the middle of the town Opatija, just north of main bus station (bus parking Slatina). Approach is possible from the south side by the road "Maršala Tita", or north side by the road "Nova cesta". Hotel's parking can
  accomodate private cars.

Warning:
Bus - Hotel Opatija parking is small and cannot accomodate buses. Town Opatija has an organised service and parking places for parking tourist buses. Please visit their web page at: http://www.opatija-parking.com/index-e.html
Car - Parking fee for cars at hotel Opatija parking place is 5 EUR per day.

Transportation by regular international and national bus lines

Hotel Opatija (main accommodation and championship office) is situated in the middle of the town Opatija, just north of main bus station. Approach from main bus station is possible.

Transportation from airport or railroad stations

Transportation from airports or railroad station can be aranged. Possible locations and prices for transfer to Opatija can be found in Bulletin 2. Visa requirement:

The citizens of majority countries expected to take part in the Championships do no need visa to enter Croatia. Those societies that need visa will be informed accordingly after receiving their Letter of Intent. For quick check use the visa checker provided in the menu of these web pages.

Of the received Letters of intent, competitors from the following countries need a visa to enter Croatia: Albania, Belarus, China, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Nigeria, Russia and Ukraine.

Accommodation:

The accommodation will be organized in hotel Opatija** located 150 m apart of the beach. Triple rooms with WC, bath, and TV and 220V electrical outlets (Type F) are provided. Double and single occupancy accommodation is available upon request (with additional fee).

In case of late application or registering more participants than stated in Letter of intent , accomodation in other hotels will be aranged. Those hotels are HOTEL VILLA AMALIA**,HOTEL RESIDENZ**, HOTEL IMPERIAL***, HOTEL KVARNER*** and HOTEL ISTRA***.

Accommodation prior and post Championships is also available upon request.

Weather:

The weather in this period of the year is stable, usually sunny, with daily temperatures (both air and water) 22–23 degrees C, in other words – ideal for vacation and swimming. 7 day forecast is available on Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological service's web pages.  Please note that there is big possibility of lower temperatures in competition area than those in Opatija, wormer clothes are preferred.
